…Visall has been operating as a trading company for spectacle lenses. Founded in 1991 in Allschwil, Switzerland, and at home in Lörrach for many years, we see ourselves as a partner for owner-managed and independent opticians in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We are also continuing to expand worldwide.

Our benchmark and our aspiration are to offer exceptional quality. This applies to our products, our services and our team. Because we want to provide our customers with the best products for their needs. We offer you a complete range of stock and prescription lenses in different materials, coatings and colours. Our lens warehouse is one of the largest and most diverse in Europe.

We have a transparent and simple pricing policy: there are no minimum sales, no contracts and the unit price per lens is the same for all opticians. This pays off for our customers in the long term and gives them freedom of choice.

From practice for practice — first-hand experience

Visall combines the expertise of opticians and retailers. We not only supply owner-managed and independent opticians and the optical industry, we also trade ourselves. In our optician’s, Eye Star Optik, in the pedestrian zone of Lörrach in the tri-border region of Switzerland, France and Germany, we experience the world of retail from the perspective of our customers.

Visall Suisse AG — how it all began

Visall GmbH, based in Lörrach, has its roots on the Swiss side of the River Rhine. More than 30 years ago, Bärbel and Urs Holzer founded Holzer Optik AG in Allschwil. In the mid-1990s, their children Kerstin Monguzzi and Olaf Friedrichs joined the company. In 1996, Holzer Optik Deutschland was founded, which became Visall GmbH under the management of the siblings, and Holzer AG became Visall Suisse AG.

The company name contains both its future and its origin: Vision Allschwil became Visall. It thus maintains a visible link to its own history and the place where it was founded in the south-west of Basel.

Incidentally, Visall Swiss AG is recognised by Swissmedic, the Swiss regulatory and supervisory authority for medicinal products and medical devices, as a manufacturer, importer and representative.
